Making Wandsworth Bridge Road safer

Labour have completely failed to take into account the views of residents when it comes to their plans for Wandsworth Bridge Road.

Despite 275 objections, the Labour Council plans to bulldoze through these changes without local support (Only 8 people were supportive of their plans).

We will continue fighting to ensure you are properly consulted. Our key demands are:

  1. Proper consultation on all crossings and loading bays
  2. Removal of all parklets from Wandsworth Bridge Road
  3. No expansion of pavements, which would worsen the already severe congestion
  4. Safer crossings

At the same time, we want to see genuine improvements where they are needed. Townmead Road requires long-overdue safety upgrades, including pedestrian lights at its junction with Wandsworth Bridge Road. We are also calling on the council to consult residents on the need for additional zebra crossings at key points leading towards Imperial Wharf to improve safety for local people.

Together let’s send a clear message to the Labour administration by signing our petition below.

Labour’s £34 million black hole in H&F

Labour's local government finance reforms will leave a £34 million black hole in H&F Council's finances.

When the IFS report stated clearly that the reforms would trigger council tax rises of 27%, Labour's Cabinet Member for Finance dismissed this as 'utter tosh'.
