Scrap Labour's parking charges hike

parking charges

Labour-run Hammersmith & Fulham has increased the cost of your resident annual parking permit charge by at least 60%. A typical family car in Band 4 will see an increase of over 90%.

During the 2022 Local Elections, Labour promised to introduce Borough-wide free parking outside of rush hour for clean vehicles. Three years into this term, they have broken yet another manifesto commitment.

Under Labour’s plans, Electric Vehicles will be charged for the first time, costing residents with the greenest vehicles £125 a year. This comes alongside the almost 30% rise for your visitors to park in the Borough, with a Band 4 vehicle going from £3.50 an hour to £4.50.

We are completely opposed to these rises. Labour should not be using residents as a cash cow, nor should they be penalising those who have done the right thing and opted for greener EVs.

SIGN OUR PETITION and tell Hammersmith & Fulham Labour to honour their manifesto commitment by:

  1. Reversing the increase in parking charges
  2. Restoring free parking for EV vehicles

Scrap Labour's parking charges hike

Labour’s £34 million black hole in H&F

Monday, 10 November, 2025
Labour's local government finance reforms will leave a £34 million black hole in H&F Council's finances.

When the IFS report stated clearly that the reforms would trigger council tax rises of 27%, Labour's Cabinet Member for Finance dismissed this as 'utter tosh'.
